Architect/Architectural Technician - Shrewsbury

This is a permanent full or part time (to suit candidate) role with a competitive salary (negotiable depending on skills and experience) for an Architect or Architectural Technician with coordination responsibilities. The role will involve

• A full understanding of 2D architectural building surveys and plans (3D a bonus)
• Communication/coordination between the company’s clients (architects and end users) and structural engineers, external designers etc….
• Initial concept, development, spatial planning and management of design.
• Checking of external designers drawings
• Ability/willingness to travel/carry out site surveys a bonus.

Architectural Technician, Experience and Characteristics

• Some experience in the construction and building industry essential
• Working knowledge of architectural drawings and drawing packages (such as Revit) and/or working within architectural practice or alongside architects beneficial.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Working knowledge of 3D visualization/render applications an advantage
• Design/Drawing office experience with coordination of multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience of working in a small/medium sized business
• Exceptional interpersonal skills in communication face to face, over the telephone and via email
• Able to work under pressure in a small business environment where willingness to jump in and help is necessary
