CAD/Drafting Technician - Leicester

Due to continued growth, our client, a highly reputable distributor of underfloor heating and press plumbing systems, has an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician to join their friendly Leicestershire based team.

The successful CAD/Drafting Technician will ideally be home based but office-based work can be offered, if preferred. The successful candidate will be responsible for the completion of Underfloor Heating CAD drawings to both large domestic and commercial sectors. 

Duties of the CAD Technician will include:

• Completion of highly professional 2D CAD Layouts for underfloor heating systems.
• 2D representations of Plumbing and heating pipework layouts.
• Wiring and mechanical diagrams/schematics.
• Maintenance and creation of block library and CAD standards.

Will have the option to develop more technical responsibilities, should you wish.

The CAD Technician should possess the following: 

• Experience of 2D drafting UFH drawings in AutoCAD LT or similar software.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience of detailed CAD works
• Experience of working within the construction industry.
• Attention to detail.
• Strong AutoCAD 2D skills
• Strong IT skills to include MS Excel.
• Ability to work under pressure and to short deadlines.

Qualifications required:

• No specific qualifications required but examples of previous “2d drafting and annotation” work would be beneficial.
