Heat Pump Engineer - Sunderland

The Company:

Our client provides a fully MCS accredited ground source heat pump installation service that fits with existing supply chains and client requirements. They can deliver a turnkey package and flexible contractual solutions.

They assume responsibility for the entire project, spanning the ground array, heat pump, and heat distribution system, including sizing, design, purchasing, installation, and management of sub-contractors across the three stages of the heat pump installation. 

Main Purpose of Job:

• As an in house engineer you will be responsible for dealing with daytime call outs as and when required across the North of the UK.
• You will also be involved in the commissioning of small to large scale GSHP systems on active projects when required, providing support to the operations team.
• Working remotely, you will be a part of a fast-growing business with support from and excellent well-established team

Key Tasks:

• Operations support in the commissioning of heat pumps
• Design team support on surveys and Mechanical drawings
• Attending to breakdowns, Fault finding and diagnostics
• Reactive plumbing and heating repairs
• Planned preventative maintenance of Domestic and commercial heating and hot water systems
• Annual maintenance checks across Domestic and commercial sites
• Highly motivated and customer focused
• Good time keeping and IT Literate

Person Specification:

• At least 5 years as a plumbing and heating engineer ideally with experience in Renewables but full training will be provided across our range of products
• NVQ Plumbing and heating
• BPEC Heat pumps (Desirable)
• Unvented hot water
• Part L Energy efficiency
• Heating installation, or service and maintenance experience

Package:

• Salary between £32,000 - £35,000
• 25 days holiday plus statutory.
