Operations Manager - Kent

Our client’s core business has been focussed on the design and installation of ground and air source heat pumps.  They are currently looking for a self-motivated individual who is keen to make the transition into Renewable Energy as an Operations Manager.  A range of benefits will include a competitive salary, company profit share scheme, a company van and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

You will either already be working as an Operations Manager, ideally in the Heating industry or an Installation Engineer who is looking to take that next step in your career.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to create and maintain an efficient system of operation to support the business needs. The successful Operations Manager should be comfortable multitasking and communicating with the business if operational focus and/or support is required. To liaise with and offer guidance to Contract Administrators to ensure a continuous excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in related fields. 

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Engineers including Sub-Contractors
• Ensure Heat Pump systems are installed to manufacturers and design specification
• Issue design documents and starter packs to engineers
• Attend Pre-start and design meetings
• Ensure a professional installation from start to hand over
• Purchasing and return of materials
• Production of site reports
• Site/engineer inspections
• Establish and maintain business standards
• Diary management
• Ensure regulatory, compliance and legal rules are followed
• Manage budget to align with goals of business

Qualifications

• Previous experience of operations would be advantageous
• Heating systems NVQ Level 2 or similar required
• Heating NVQ level 3 (or similar), BPEC Level 3 Award Installation and Maintenance of Heat Pumps are preferable
• CSCS Card
• SSSTS would be preferable
• Experience in the heating industry is desirable
• Experience surveying and quoting heating and plumbing works
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask
• Comfortable working with multiple groups within business

In return, as Operations Manager you will receive a salary of circa £40k per annum, OTE of £50,000 - £60,000 (including company profit share scheme)
