Rotary Lead Driller - Bristol

Rotary Lead Driller with excellent people management and communication skills.

Overview:

Key Responsibilities of the Rotary Lead Driller:

• Assisting with specifying and ordering suitable plant for drilling works
• Completion of accurate drilling logs
• Supervising the Drilling Assistant
• Ensuring that the correct PPE is always worn
• Ensuring that Risk Assessments and Method Statements are always understood and adhered to
• Managing onsite drilling operations to keep the site clear and tidy
• Communicate with site teams to ensure efficient drilling operations and satisfied customers
• Flexibility to work and stay away throughout the UK
• Other duties and special projects and required by management

Experience & Skills required:

• The ideal candidate will have significant experience in land drilling including experience working as Rig Manager/Lead Driller for rotary and geothermal drilling operations
• At least 5 years’ hands on experience of drilling boreholes to depths of 100m-200m with rotary drilling rigs
• NVQ level 2 Land Drilling qualification
• CSCS blue card
• CPCS plant operator card
• Full clean UK drivers’ licence and own vehicle
• Effective and clear communication and good interpersonal skills – both written and verbal
• A problem-solving mentality
• An understanding of regulations and guidelines relating to land drilling in the UK

Package:

• Circa £40,000 – £50,000 DOE
• Company vehicle once probation is completed successfully
