Solar Developer & Designer - Coventry

Due to continued company growth, our client who specialises in the installation of Commercial Solar Photovoltaic systems, has an excellent opportunity for a Solar PV Developer to join their team. 

The successful Solar Photovoltaic Developer will be home based and ideally you will be based in the Midlands or South Wales.

Main Purpose of Job:

The Solar PV Developer/Designer will be responsible for the development of commercial rooftop Solar PV projects from survey through to mobilisation.

Key Tasks:

• Takes projects from survey through to mobilisation
• Can undertake detailed site surveys on client’s premises and produce detailed drawings and reports
• Ability to design Commercial Rooftop PV solutions using industry software
• Analyses energy consumption and generation data and combines it with relevant financial data to create compelling business cases.
• Take responsibility for organising and managing all external partner project development activities, grid applications, connection agreements and commissioning documentation
• Structural surveys and asbestos R&D surveys

Person Specification:

• Strong electrical and Solar technical knowledge
• Electrical 18^th edition - desirable
• Renewables / Engineering experience - desirable
• Commercial experience within a similar role of Rooftop Solar PV
• Mounting Kit experience
• Experience within the energy solutions field, preferably within the education, Manufacturing and Leisure sectors.
• Has a solid technical knowledge of the relevant equipment available
• Proficient in the use of MS Applications
• Experience with either SolarEdge Designer, PVSOL, PVSYST, AutoCAD
• You will have to undergo a DBS clearance check
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence

Package:

• Salary between £25,000 - £30,000 DOE
• 28 days holiday including banks
• Pension

This is a Permanent role and could be home or office based but will involve travelling to active or potential sites anywhere in the country.
