A well-established Heat Pump Manufacturer has an excellent opportunity for a candidate to join them as a Technical Sales Executive, ideally based in Exeter.

Our client provides a fully MCS accredited ground source heat pump installation service that fits with existing supply chains and client requirements. They can deliver a turnkey package and flexible contractual solutions.

They assume responsibility for the entire project, spanning the ground array, heat pump, and heat distribution system, including sizing, design, purchasing, installation, and management of sub-contractors across the three stages of the heat pump installation. 

Main Purpose of a Technical Sales Representative:

  • To build, establish and maintain strong working relationships with installers emerging in the Ground Source Heat Pump industry
  • Maintain existing client relationships.
  • To identify suitable Ground Source Heat Pump projects
  • Identifying potential customers
  • Engage in initial conversations with clients, architects and installers
  • Arranging quotations and proposals, deal with follow up process
  • Grow the network of approved installers
  • Maintain CRM system
  • Attend various shows and exhibitions across the UK

The successful Technical Sales representative will be dealing with Clients, Installers, construction companies and architects.  Our client is looking for someone who can confidently articulate the technical benefits and advantages of ground source heat pumps to a number of audiences. 

Person Specification -Technical Sales Representative:

  • 3 years within a similar internal sales role
  • Passion for Renewable Energy
  • Excellent at building strong business relationships
  • Experience with CRM systems
  • Excellent customer service and sales skills
  • Good understanding of route to market
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Technically minded
  • Excellent telephone manner


  • Basic salary up to £35,000

This is a Permanent role and is predominantly office based, although there can be some flexibility around home working from time to time.
